Military Appreciation Day at GMHD
9/5/2010 - 9/5/2010
Sunday September 5th, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Essex Junction VT
Green Mountain Harley-Davidson is hosting their second annual Military Appreciation Day on September 5th, 2010, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Harley Van will be at the shop to provide free counseling on military benefits. The Harley Van is a Mobile Service Office for the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) sponsored by a $1 million dollar grant from the Harley-Davidson Foundation.
“We are proud to support our local military community,” says David Pearson, co-owner of Green Mountain Harley-Davidson. “Veterans have always been important members of the Harley-Davidson family, and partnering with the DAV is a great way to support them and recognize their contributions to our country.”
The Freedom Group Ride will leave the dealership at 11am. All makes and models are welcome to participate. A $5 donation to the DAV for each rider is suggested. Riders will be entered into a raffle for a $100 gift card to Green Mountain Harley-Davidson. Hot dogs and beverages will be served following the ride.
Additionally, Veterans and active military service members are invited to pose for their picture in the Freedom Photo. Commemorative pins are also available for a $5 donation to the DAV, plus a chance to win a $100 GMH-D gift certificate. 100% of all donations will go to the DAV.
